How hard it felt, recorded with the ride
Saving a ride on the watch asks two quick questions: how hard it was, and how it felt. Both are dials: a face in the middle whose expression tracks your answer, the answer in words and as a number beneath it, and one dot per level on an arc around the edge.
What it shows
- Perceived effort, 0 to 10, the face grimacing as it climbs
- How the ride felt, on a five-point scale, the face smiling as it climbs
- The word and the number for the level you are on, at the bottom of the dial
- An arc of dots over the top of the screen that fills like a gauge, the lit ones up to your answer
- UP for more and DOWN for less on both questions, opening at the middle of the scale
The answers are recorded as fields on the FIT activity itself, so they travel with the ride into Garmin Connect rather than living only in this app.
The arc stops short of the bottom on purpose: that is where the word and the number sit, so the dots never run into the text on a round screen, whatever the length of the scale.
Backing out of either dial still saves the ride — saving was confirmed a step earlier, so it must never silently discard what you just rode.
