One big number, your choice
The pages the watch app opens on. Four equal quadrants meant nothing stood out on a 260-pixel round screen, so each page leads with a single metric at full size.
What it shows
- Page one: speed, distance, heart rate or time as the hero — whichever you choose — with the other three beneath
- Page two: average speed as the hero, over max speed, elevation and elevation gain
- A GPS and heart rate status line at the top of both
Which metric gets the hero slot is a setting, edited in Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express and picked up while the app is running.
Before a ride starts the same layout runs as a live preview, so you can confirm you have a GPS fix and a heart rate reading before pressing start rather than staring at a blank screen.
