One of the watch app’s ride pages, at the Forerunner 955’s 260-pixel layout the app scales to every Enduro.

These are the watches where the app’s one-second transmit to the phone matters least for the wearer: Garmin’s published GPS runtimes for the Enduro line are far beyond the length of any ride a phone in a mount will survive. The app’s battery model says the same for the Forerunner 955 — the watch is the better GPS in every case except not owning one.

The layout and controls are the fēnix’s: five buttons, START and BACK for the ride, UP and DOWN for the pages, one design scaled to the screen.

How that scaling works, and how the app gets onto the watch, is on the Garmin watches page; pairing the watch to the phone is the Garmin and iPhone or Garmin and Android setup.
